Top Photo and Video Apps on iOS in Romania, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the photo and video app category on iOS in Romania saw varied performances among the top five apps, according to data from Sensor Tower.

CapCut - Video Editor from Bytedance Pte. Ltd experienced a notable rise in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $28K in mid-December. Weekly downloads showed a significant increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 17.5K in late December. Active users also rose steadily, culminating in over 524K by the end of December.

YouTube, published by Google, maintained a strong presence with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $381K in late December. Downloads saw a spike in the same period, hitting about 15.6K. Active users remained consistently high, exceeding 2.4M throughout the quarter.

Instagram by Instagram, Inc. showed fluctuating weekly revenue, reaching a high of about $16.7K in early October. Downloads increased notably in late December to around 11.9K. Active users remained stable, peaking at over 809K towards the end of the quarter.

Snapchat from Snap, Inc. saw weekly revenue increase to approximately $22.9K in mid-December. Downloads showed a rise towards the end of the year, reaching about 8.5K. Active users peaked at over 942K in early December.

Google Photos: Backup & Edit from Google experienced a steady weekly revenue, peaking at around $26K in mid-November. Downloads increased slightly towards the end of December, reaching about 5.1K. Active users saw a slight increase, ending the quarter at approximately 316K.
